Ope!
Nov 2nd 2019
Hey everyone, I hope you had an awesome and spooky Halloween! I know I sure did. For the first time in the last few months I was able to get together with a group of friends and just have fun. We all dressed up for Halloween of course. I dressed up as what I consider to be my spirit animal. The cute and fluffy raccoon. I even made my own tail out of yarn. It took forever but it turned out so well. You can see a picture down below of it.
Other than enjoying a night with my friends I've been busy, busy, busy. I've done a series of small illustrations that I intend to later use for notebook designs. I'll keep you posted on those. :) In addition I also drew up some new bookmark designs. I'm trying to keep the bookmark designs in black and white so they can be colored by customers or by myself later. It makes them a bit more unique and interactive. Plus, they also look really nice in black and white. I also created a few new mini paintings and even experimented with glitter a little bit. I had fewer events this past month so I was able to take the time to create a new, larger painting. It was super nice and therapeutic which I definitely needed. Normally I don't have the time to invest in a larger painting but this past month I did. I would like to create an even larger painting at some point but for now this will work. Who knows, maybe I'll have the time this month. Unfortunately, I doubt it. I've got more events this month plus holiday get-togethers. I'm also currently working on a design that I haven't quite decided what it will be for. Maybe I'll just sell it as a print. Or maybe put it on a t-shirt or tote bag. We'll see how it looks when I'm finished with the design.
I do have an update on the status of the coloring book. All of the illustrations are done and I have the Kickstarter campaign all set up except for pictures. Unfortunately, the scans of all my art came to me a bit late so I have to postpone the launch of the Kickstarter for it a bit. I need to touch up the scans and use some of them in the campaign to give some visuals. I'm hoping this delay will be by no more than a week or two. I will be sure to send you an e-mail when I have launched the campaign. Due to this delay odds are I will not be able to deliver the finished coloring books by the holidays. Sorry folks. I was really hoping to have them ready for the holidays.
Lastly, I will have a new product for sale on my website and at events. My WisCOWsin design will be appearing on some awesome coffee mugs. It took a long time for me to find a coffee mug out there that I thought would look nice with the design. There are a lot more options out there than you would expect. It's a bit crazy. You search for one thing and all of a sudden you've fallen down the rabbit hole. Hm...that could make a pretty cool design. I'll have to jot that down for later.
Until next time please enjoy these pictures of some of the work I've finished. I hope you all have a beautiful November and a Happy Thanksgiving!
