Have you Voted?

Nov 3rd 2020

Happy November! Have you voted yet? If you haven't voted yet please be sure to do so. Every vote matters no matter who you are voting for. My husband and I voted absentee as soon as possible so we could try to keep ourselves and everyone else safe during this pandemic. Not going to lie, we are pretty anxious about this election. Since we've already voted my plan is to stay inside during election day and work on art projects, bake and eat comfort food.

Health wise I've been doing okay. I have my good days and I have my bad days. No more fainting episodes so far so that's good. I've been really tired though but I guess that's nothing too new. I just keep taking it one day at a time and doing what I can.

This last month I have been crazy busy. I've been working two part time jobs on top of doing all the work and projects my business requires. I quickly realized though that I was going to run myself ragged so I decided I had to let go of one of the jobs. Unfortunately, having worked two jobs plus the business for almost a month still took it's toll. So now I'm recovering from it a bit. Here's hoping it's a quick recovery.

I've been illustrating children's books for two different clients. I finished one book mid last month and now only have one left. Book illustrating has kept me super busy. In the process I've even come up with one or two new children's books ideas of my own. I can't wait for when I have time to actually start those projects. But maybe I should try to finish some of my other projects first. I've got at least 5 projects in the works currently.

Last time I posted I talked about my WisCOWsin design being put onto tote bags. They arrived in early October and they look great. As with everything else I have my art put on I am definitely keeping one.

I also took 3 of my Wisconsin themed designs and had stickers made and I am so happy with them. I want to put the stickers on everything.

Slowly I've been working on other art projects but I haven't been able to really finish anything due to work and my book illustration projects. I did manage to create an awesome little raccoon drawing though. She looks like a real bad ass and I love it. I'm hoping to draw more animals with sun glasses at some point.

This next month I'm hoping to finish or at least get really damn close to finishing this other children's book project. I've got two other small projects from clients that I know I'll be able to finish and I'm hoping to be able to accomplish at least one of my own projects. I've been itching to get back to Reggie's story or to create more cat themed coloring pages. We'll see though, it depends on how much time and energy I have. I hope you all have a fantastic month, don't forget to vote and stay safe.
